Superintendent

Welcome to Colstrip Public School District #19, where we are working to provide a great place for kids and staff to work! As you explore our website, we hope you discover everything you need. If there's a missing piece or a question in your mind about our site, please don’t hesitate to reach out at 406-748-4699. We’re eager to connect with you and improve our communications. You may have noticed we have revamped our website, and hope to make it a cornerstone of our communication with our stakeholders and all who are interested in learning more about us.
I would like to introduce myself: I’m Scott O’Tremba, proudly serving as the superintendent here in Colstrip. My Montana roots run deep having been born and raised in Wolf Point. My grandchildren, who are growing up in Colstrip, are the 6th generation of O’Tremba blood from Montana. My grandparents, on both sides, were farmers in the Wolf Point area as was my dad. I grew up working on our family wheat farm with my dad, mom and my brother, and also playing lots of sports.
I am a proud father of two girls and a grandfather of three. My oldest daughter, Tiana Yates, and my grandchildren live right here in Colstrip and my youngest, Bethany Boaz, was recently married and lives and works in Billings. My wife, Stacy, is a retired teacher of 25 years. She was a one-room school teacher at Moon Creek School outside of Miles City when I met her.
My goals for Colstrip Public Schools are to help provide a safe and inviting environment for all students and employees where students achieve on high levels and are provided an education that will help them reach their full potential. I believe my experiences and training will help us achieve these goals together.
