The PONY Award celebrates students who consistently demonstrate positivity, effort, kindness, and excellence in and out of the classroom. Teachers may submit nominations bi-weekly to highlight students who stand out as true Pine Butte Ponies! Two winners will be selected by committee on a bi-weekly schedule and recognized by the PONY Board. The winners will also receive a bumper sticker and a sticker for the student.
Our First student chosen is Giavona Provenza.
Mrs. Baer says: Giavona is an exceptional student. In Physical Education, Giavona always tries her best and is supportive of all other students in the classroom. Whether the students have higher or lower skills during the activity we are working on, Giavona remains fair, honest, and supportive. She will partner/team with all students while being helpful and patient when someone else doesn't understand. She is respectful, kind and is a role model for our younger students while in the hallway, lunchroom, playground, etc. She emulates what PONY pride should look like. She is also a quiet leader within our school. She is a MiniBank director who has been on time every day and supports customers in a polite manner. During a Penny War last year, Giavona brought in many coins to help her whole class win the war as well as benefiting a family in need. She also makes wreaths and provides baskets for various auctions/benefits in our community. Congrats Giavona!
