Pine Butte had a great week doing lots of Dr. Seuss inspired activities. The Lorax was a favorite book this week. Everyone read it on Tuesday and had a fun Lorax inspired lunch. Second grade did lots of great Lorax themed activities including planting seeds in Lorax pots, doing their poems inspired by Dr Seuss about the Lorax, and making shape loraxs.

Student council challenged everyone to read The Shape of me and Other Things by Dr Seuss and create silhouettes of each kid to see if people could guess who they are with just a shadow. There were many creative interpretations of the shadows.

They also created a challenge to see some Seuss inspired poetry. This was also a great show of writing across the school. From the littles to the bigs everyone was very creative in their approach to this challenge.

We also had some great art and fun Seuss inspired crafts.

IIt was a fun and educational week at PBES!
