The PONY Award celebrates students who consistently demonstrate positivity, effort, kindness, and excellence in and out of the classroom. Teachers may submit nominations to highlight students who stand out as true Pine Butte Ponies! Winners will be selected by the committee on a weekly schedule and recognized by the Board. The winners will also receive a bumper sticker and a sticker for the student.
This weeks student is: Gavin Moser
Mrs. Watson says: Gavin is truly deserving of a PONY (Positive, Outstanding, Notable Youth) Award. He consistently demonstrates what it means to be a positive role model in and out of the classroom. Gavin works hard every single day, always giving his best effort and taking pride in doing things the right way—even when no one is watching. What makes Gavin especially notable is his character. He approaches each day with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. He faces challenges with determination and keeps trying until he succeeds. Rather than becoming discouraged, he uses obstacles as opportunities to grow. Gavin is also naturally kind and helpful. He frequently offers to assist classmates, whether it’s helping someone understand an assignment, cleaning up without being asked, or simply including others. His actions show empathy, responsibility, and leadership. He chooses to do the right thing because it’s who he is. Gavin represents the very heart of what the PONY Award stands for. He is positive in spirit, outstanding in effort, and notable in character. We are so proud of the young person he is becoming and believe he is truly deserving of this recognition. Brandy W.
