The PONY Award celebrates students who consistently demonstrate positivity, effort, kindness, and excellence in and out of the classroom. Teachers may submit nominations to highlight students who stand out as true Pine Butte Ponies! Winners will be selected by the committee on a weekly schedule and recognized by the Board. Winners will have their picture posted on the school website, Facebook and get a poster put in the hall. The winners will also receive a bumper sticker and a sticker for the student.

Mrs. Baer say: I have had the privilege of teaching Wesley since Kindergarten. He has always been kind and welcoming to everyone in his classes. On the playground, he shows kindness not only to his classmates but to all students at Pine Butte Elementary. In Physical Education, Wesley gives 100% effort in every skill he is learning. He never gives up and works through every obstacle when faced with a challenging task. He willingly accepts feedback and support and puts that information into practice. Wesley is a student others can rely on to be fair, honest, and equitable during games and activities. He consistently demonstrates kindness, perseverance, sportsmanship, and integrity. Wesley is a true P.O.N.Y.!
