FBMS Athletic Notice- Due to poor field conditions and weather, football practice for middle school is cancelled today. They will resume regular practice on Thursday.

Colstrip Public Schools is happy to announce Homecoming Week, 2024!!!! This year's theme is Heroes and Villains. The theme days are attached, we look forward to seeing everyone at the Homecoming Parade through downtown on Friday 9/27 at 2PM. Theme Days Flyer is really attached this time.

***Cancellation Notice*** Tomorrow's CHS and FBMS cross country meet at Roundup has been cancelled due to air quality concerns.

****Athletics Cancellation Notice**** The Frank Brattin Middle School Mustangs Volleyball game vs. Lame Deer today, 9/10, has been postponed due to concerns over air quality. The game will be rescheduled at a later date if possible.

CHS Notice- FM Creations will be here after school on Monday 9/9 to take photos for volleyball and cross country, and Tuesday 9/10 for football, cheer, Pep Band and Drumline. Make-ups will be on Wednesday 9/11. The order form is attached or your student can pick one up at the office.

FOOTBALL RETURNS TO COLSTRIP!!!!!! The Colstrip Colts look to tame the Columbus Cougars on Friday night, 9/6. Kickoff is at 7PM. The theme for the game is Country Western, so wear your biggest, shiniest belt buckle, fanciest cowboy hat, and your Wranglers to cheer our boys on. No livestock please.

CHS Activities Notice- For students interested in joining Drumline, the first practice will be Wednesday, September 4th from 6:30-8:00 at Colstrip High School. Students will need to have their activity fee paid and paperwork filled out prior to attending.

***IMPORTANT TRANSPORTATION NOTICE*** ROUTE CHANGE EFFECTIVE FRIDAY, 8/30, AM SPEEDY RUN! IF YOUR STUDENT RIDES THE IN-TOWN BUS, SPEEDY, ROUTE #3, PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE TO AM PICK UP TIMES EFFECTIVE FRIDAY, AUGUST 28TH. This change was made to allow students to arrive at PBES earlier while arriving at FBMS at approximately the same time as they are currently dropped off. Please make sure your children arrive at their assigned bus stop on time. Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we adjust the busing system to create a more efficient and safer transportation system that uses your tax dollars in the most effective manner possible.

CHS NOTICE— We have been made aware of an incident and reported threat between two students yesterday. We believe our campus, students and staff are safe, but any and all potential threats are taken seriously and will be fully investigated. We will have increased security measures in place today. Please contact CHS if you have any questions or concerns.

**District Tech Update** - Internet and phone service has been restored to the District. Phones came back a little after lunch and internet returned around 3:30 PM. There was an issue with the service provider's equipment and the service technician resolved the problem.

**District Internet Outage - Tech Update** This morning, 8/27, the District is experiencing an internet outage at all buildings. This also affects the phones at CHS and PBES. The service provider has been contacted and has escalated the issue. Please note that phone calls to the Central office, CHS, and PBES might not go through until the service is restored.

SUPERINTENDENT'S OFFICE: A bear was spotted this afternoon around 2:00 pm today in the Pine Butte Elementary School area. Students have been kept indoors. Police and extra personnel will be assisting with dismissal of students at the end of day. Please be aware of your surroundings if you are picking up your student(s) from school or if you are letting them walk home.
